Atlanta Restaurant Real Estate Specialists

The Shumacher Group is an Atlanta-based restaurant real estate company that specializes in two principal areas: site selection for regional and national restaurant chains and the sale of existing restaurants, retail stores, and all businesses. In addition, the company lists surplus properties and selected sub-leases.

The majority of the company’s work is in the metro Atlanta area but we have worked throughout the Southeastern United States directly or through referrals with other brokerage companies.

The Shumacher Group was founded in 1987 and has successfully negotiated several thousand transactions.

President and Broker

Peter Kruskamp is President and Qualifying Broker for The Shumacher Group. He’s been with TSG since 2011, working side by side with company founder and President Harold Shumacher, who unexpectedly passed away in April.

As Harold’s protégé and hand-picked successor, Peter gained immeasurable insight, skills, and industry knowledge. He quickly developed the relationships and contacts it takes to be successful in getting the best deals for retail and restaurant clients.

Peter learned much from Harold, including the five Ps of the industry: People, persistence, process, patience, and product. These are the values that Peter will continue to encourage in TSG’s brokers and team.

While TSG is rightfully known as being Atlanta’s premier restaurant brokerage, Peter also has completed land, industrial, retail, and office deals. Recent Tenant Representation clients include Bojangles, Mrs. Winners, Verizon, Hotworx, King of Pops, Vietvana and Clean Eatz. Peter also brokered land deals ranging from one to 65 acres, industrial deals for King of Pops and Compost Now, and investment deals for various clients.

On the landlord side, Peter has successfully found qualified tenants and has negotiated profitable deals for owners.
