Burgers-like beauty-are often in the eye of the beholder. Some people like them plump and char-grilled others thin and barely warmed. In Atlanta, numerous burger spots have opened over the past few months. The hottest new entry is Yeah Burger from chef Shaun Doty in Atlanta’s trendy midtown west neighborhood.
Open slightly less than two weeks, the cleverly designed spot –by Atlanta based Seiber Design- is pulling in large crowds attracted by the tasty beef, bison, turkey and veggie patties. There’s a variety of toppings and sauces atop specialty made buns.
With a second location already in the works –in Virginia Highland-Doty joins fellow highly regarded chefs Richard Blais (also working on a second location in Buckhead) and Paul Albrecht in elevating the humble patty to something approaching haute cuisine status. Other new burger stops include Farm 255, adjacent to Watershed in Decatur, and below the radar The Counter, open in Roswell for approximately one year.
