Flip Burger Boutique in Atlanta was “A Mob Scene” Tonight

Flip Burger Boutique Atlanta
Every week I see so many people loosing their jobs and life savings with no end in sight and then I see restaurants all over town doing gangbusters and it says one thing. You must serve hi quality food artistically and flavorful with a staff that really cares. It doesn’t hurt to make the place hip and cool. Flip Burger Boutique created by Top Chef Richard Blaise is that place.  On a Howell Mill Road location just off the expressway they had a very long wait with guests waiting inside and out for a table. Being one that does not like to wait for a table too long Sheri and I opted to sit at the bar. Union Square Cafe in NYC is my favorite bar to sit and dine for serious food but Flip’s bar was really fun and enjoyable. The bartenders work in tandem and constantly look after you and really know the menu helping with the confusing and daunting task of whittling down the incredible offerings into a dinner for two.
We were not disappointed. We started with Tempura Fried Okra. I was served a really fresh crisp fresh baby lettuce salad. This was not packaged but seemed to come straight out of the garden. I was so excited that I finished it off really fast but do remember what I think was goat cheese, baby jicama, almonds, and yellow and red pear tomatoes with a light vinaigrette. The burgers are 5.5 oz. made with hanger steak, brisket, short rib and then tweaked with different combinations. We had the corned beef with pickled cabbage, beer mustard and topped with a  very delicately  fried egg. Next up was a lamb burger with green olive relish, cucumber yogurt, fresh mint and raisin ketchup. We chose a lettuce wrap for the faux-lafel burger of chick pea topped with arugula, cucumber, red onion, pickled beets, red pepper and feta cheese spread. We ordered a liquid N2 Milkshake for dessert.
Sitting at the bar was torture as you watch one person all night mix these awesome looking shakes with liquid nitrogen and in the case of the  nutella + marshmallow you see smell the marshmallows as they are toasting them individually for each order. Your senses go crazy at Flip from the second you walk in. We left very stuffed and happy and was blown away by what a value it was.  Guest were still pouring in when we left at 9:15 PM on a Thursday night.
