I just toured the new H Mart that opened in the Brands Mart anchored center at 285 and Peachtree Industrial. This opening marks the fourth Metro Atlanta location. It is mesmerizing to walk this Market. Everything is so fresh and the prices are much lower then at most supermarkets and gourmet markets. The food court has opened with a Korean, Japanese, and Chinese restaurant along with a full service bakery, pastry, and coffee shop. I enjoyed lunch at the Korean restaurant. My gigantic bowl of Miso Soup with tofu and vegetables was so hot I thought it would burn me just looking at it. At $5.95 served with a bowl of rice, and several small plates of pickled vegetables and Kimchee I was very satisfied. Another favorite I get here is a big clamshell plastic container filled with sections of marinated and pickled vegetables and wild mushrooms and I always get their homemade spinach tofu. I almost never leave without pastries filled with red bean paste a favorite since a visit to Chinatown while in Culinary school in the seventies.
